However, the crew is stunned to discover the wub is not only hyper-intelligent and telepathic, but also eager to discuss philosophy, classical mythology, and the ethics of democracy. Desperate to avoid being eaten, the wub tries to reason with the captain, but when brute force prevails over intellect, the crew realizes too late that consuming consciousness comes with chilling consequences.
