RealnollyTV’s Palace Guard (Season 4) escalates the royal court drama into full-blown political thriller territory. The narrative opens under an atmosphere of existential dread when the spiritual masquerade Unkubi returns to the palace a second time [00:24], confirming that the King is still surrounded by hidden treason. While the King remains oblivious, the court corrodes from within: palace maids argue over orders to poison the head guard [03:00], while the Crown Prince admits to the demoted guard, played stoically by Ken Erics, that he has fathered an illegitimate child [12:48]—a scandal that would destroy his claim to the throne [20:24].

The tension reaches a boiling point when the Queen conspires with a cabinet chief to forge royal documents and assassinate the King [21:39], all while a court noble's wife exposes severe domestic violence directly to the monarch [23:42]. Directors and cast deliver a fast-paced, emotionally charged installment where Ken Erics acts as the grounded center of sanity amidst escalating madness. The tight framing and sharp dialogue elevate this chapter into one of the most compelling Nollywood releases of the year.
